I am not claiming this picture has any major artistic merit; this DSquared campaign really falls a bit short of what I expect from Mert+Marcus. And the instagram-y faux-vintage filters can die in a fire four months ago, thanks.
However, I first thought this picture was a grown up androgynous woman (probably all the blush highlighting the cheekbone), and then I realized it was actually a teenage boy, and it instantly went from “hot” to “oh well”. This probably explains my lack of enthusiasm for the Justin Bieber phenomenon as well.
