Wind farms; The way I look at them, if we were visited by alien scientific explorers, they would probably see them as huge flowers growing in the desert, and wonder how they survive and grow so large in such arid conditions. They might postulate that the massive rotating flowers are some sort of adaptation for trapping moisture from the wind, and that the fact that they are completely white, to dispel the heat in which they live. They would no doubt find them rhythmical, and beautiful to behold.
I must be part alien then, because I see them as a thing of beauty. I can sit, and watch them from a distance, whirling in perfect syncopation, for hours at a time.
I wonder what they might think of oil rigs then. They had better hurry and visit us, before those are all gone. Come and see those giants bobbing like a dodo toy in a martini glass, before they all go the way of the dodo…
I do have way more fun than I have a right to.
